Top-5 finish in Race for Hope 71 finale at Batesville

Venturing south to Arkansas, Tim Ward traveled to Batesville (AR) Motor Speedway over the weekend for the eighth annual Race for Hope 71.

With a pair of prelims on Thursday and Friday leading to Saturday’s finale, Ward followed up an eighth-to-third heat showing with a fifth-place finish in Friday’s preliminary feature.

After racing into Friday’s A-Main through his B-Main, Tim passed 11 cars in the 30-lap prelim to finish ninth.

For the Race for Hope finale on Saturday, Ward secured his spot into the $7,500-to-win main event with a runner-up outing in his heat. Pinned on the sixth row, Tim capped off the weekend with another strong run. His fourth-place finish in the 71-lap affair marked his 60th Top-5 of the season.
