Tim Ward Tops Treek Strong Creek Classic at 141 Speedway

Prepping for Dark Side Fall Bash at Cedar County

HARCOURT, Iowa. (10/01/24) – Tim Ward’s stellar 2024 season continued this past weekend as he tallied his 17th overall win in Saturday’s Treek Strong Creek Classic at 141 Speedway aboard his Precision Performance Racing Suspensions/ Farley's Wholesale Tire & Express Lube/ Tire Demon by Love-Tap No. 4TW Performer Chassis Modified.

Ward tracked down early leader Dylan Thornton on the high side in the closing laps of Saturday night’s finale to claim the $1,000 winner’s payday.

“Man, what an awesome hot rod,” Ward said in Victory Lane. “As the race went on I could feel the top getting faster so I stuck to it. I just want to say thanks to all the sponsors on this car that support my program. It wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of them”

Tim Ward’s doubleheader weekend in the Badger State kicked off Friday night with a trip to 141 Speedway (Maribel, Wis.) for the 15th annual Treek Strong Creek Classic.

With 52 IMCA Modifieds on the ground, Ward rocketed into Friday’s opener with a fourth-to-first heat showing. Lined up ninth for the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Tim climbed three spots in the 20-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish.

Back at the third-mile oval Saturday, Tim’s runner-up heat outing positioned him on the third row for the feature. Making his move to the front in the second half of the 20-lapper, Ward powered underneath race-long pacesetter Dylan Thornton on lap 15 en route to his 17th win of the 2024 campaign.

He collected the $1,000 paycheck ahead of Thornton, Todd Felix Dart, Kelsy Wedelstadt, and Shawn Kilgore.

Ward now shifts his focus to the upcoming Darkside Promotions Fall Bash at Cedar County Raceway (Tipton, IA). A pair of prelims on Thursday and Friday set the stage for Saturday’s $3,000-to-win finale.
