Ward claims 13th win of 2024 at Kossuth County Speedway
Tim Ward invaded the Land of 10,000 Lakes on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the 33rd annual Harris Clash at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.).
With a fourth-place heat finish pinning him on the sixth row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Ward rocketed forward seven positions to register a fourth-place finish. He chased Tom Berry Jr., Zack VanderBeek and Ethan Braaksma to the checkers with Joel Rust coming in fifth.
After turning in another fourth-place finish on Wednesday in The Clay County Clash at Clay County Fair Speedway (Spencer, Iowa), Tim invaded Kossuth County Speedway (Algona, Iowa) on Thursday for the Gene Schattschneider Memorial. Following a heat race win, Ward regained the lead on the fourth circuit of the feature and paced the remainder of the 25-lap affair to claim his 13th overall victory of the 2024 season.
For the Night of 1,000 Stars on Friday and Saturday at Hancock County Speedway (Britt, Iowa), Ward opened the doubleheader event with a runner-up finish in Friday’s $2,000-to-win qualifier.
Tire issues in Saturday’s finale brought an early end to his weekend on lap 17 of the 40-lap feature.
