Tim Ward scores sixth-place finish in Dakota Classic Mod Tour at Nodak
Avoiding the wrath of Mother Nature, Tim Ward's Fourth of July weekend kicked off on Saturday afternoon at Nodak Speedway (Minot, N.D.) for an unplanned event after the Dakota Classic Modified Tour opener at Jamestown (ND) Speedway fell to weather.
Following a fifth-to-second heat showing, Ward was an early retiree from the A-Main on the seventh circuit.
Back at the North Dakota oval on Sunday for the second round of the Dakota Classic Modified Tour, Tim drove into the main event with a runner-up run in his consolation event. Pinned on the eight row, Ward advanced forward nine spots in the 30-lap affair to finish sixth.
