Ward tops Spring Nationals finale at Beatrice Speedway

Finding somewhere to race amid bad weather, Tim Ward traveled to Beatrice Speedway (Beatrice, Neb.) on Friday to kick off the two-day Beatrice Spring Nationals.

Starting on the pole for the opener via a heat race victory, Ward faded one spot in the 25-lap affair to register a second-place finish, chasing hometown standout Jordan Grabouski.

On Saturday, Tim followed up an eight-lap win in his heat race with a flag-to-flag victory in the main event. He took the checkers 0.922 seconds ahead of Justin Zeitner with Jordan Grabouski rounding out the podium.

Ward returns to action next weekend with the two-day Southern Iowa Frost Out at Bloomfield Speedway (Bloomfield, Iowa).
