Tim Ward takes runner-up honors in SD Fall Nationals at Interstate Speedway
Tim Ward returned to the driver’s seat of his Precision Performance Racing Suspensions No. 4TW IMCA Modified on Friday evening as the two-day South Dakota Fall Nationals kicked off at Interstate Speedway (Jefferson, S.D.).
With results from a pair of heat races on Friday setting the grid for the A-Main on Saturday, Ward followed up a flag-to-flag victory in his first round with an impressive seventh-to-first charge in his second heat.
Rolling off on the pole for Saturday’s $2,500-to-win South Dakota Fall Nationals finale, Tim chased race-long pacesetter Chris Abelson to the checkers in the 35-lapper with Jordan Bartz rounding out the podium.
Full results from the event are available at www.RaceInterstate.com.
With this weekend's event at Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, S.D.) postponed by an unfavorable forecast, Ward now turns his attention to the seventh annual Race for Hope 71 at Batesville (AR) Motor Speedway.
Action kicks off with prelims on Thursday and Friday leading up to Saturday's $10,000-to-win finale.
